Guide

Quick-match players

The Exhibition screen on the main menu plays a single match between two players picked from a short list. That list is content: roster records in data/roster.json (or any files in data/roster/). The core pack has eight, from a tier 1 star to a Sunday league thrower.

  • Records from several mods add up, in load order; a record with the id of an existing one replaces it, and a patch#patching-instead-of-replacing) (rosterPlayer:core.roster.calder) changes one.
  • These players are separate from the career's world (data/players/): changing one does not change the player of the same name in a career.
  • The names of the plain shirts the character creator offers are texts of the pack (data/texts/creator-shirts.json, one per shirt: core.text.creator-shirt.<equipment id>); a shirt without one keeps its own name, less its brand. See The game's own sentences.
