Training and your team
Between events, you get better by practising, and the right people around you help it go further.
Training#
Set what you practise each week. Scoring, finishing and the mental side of the game improve with the time you give them, and fade slowly when you give them none.
- A balanced plan suits most players. Lean on one area when your numbers say it needs it: Analytics shows where your darts land.
- Heavy weeks raise your workload. Practice is not free.
- Let the coach plan every week if you would rather not.
- Advanced training gives you practice sessions to play yourself, or to simulate.
Age matters too. Young players have the most to gain; older ones work to keep what they have.
Your team#
The Team section is the people around you: a coach, a manager, a physio and others as you can afford them. Each costs a wage and helps in their own area, from training gains to better deals and quicker recovery.
- Staff have their own styles. Two coaches can be equally good and still suit different players.
- A kit technician suggests changes to your setup.
- A practice partner gives you someone to throw against.
Hire when you can afford it, not before. A wage is paid whether or not results come.
Facilities#
As you move up, you can invest in your own practice facilities. They cost money to buy and to keep up, and they become available as your career grows.
