More ways to play

On Android and iPhone

The phone game is the same career as on Windows, laid out for a small screen and a thumb.

The hub on a phone#

The main sections are along the bottom of the screen and the rest are under More. A Coming up card on Home shows your next event and how you did there before.

Matches by touch#

  • Hold & release: tap a bed to pick it, then hold Throw and let go in the bright band.
  • Cursor: tap the board to put the ring there, or drag to nudge it, then Throw.
  • Targeting: tap a bed to throw at it, or Throw for the coach’s call.
  • Pinch to zoom in on the board. Your zoom comes back after your opponent’s visit. Zoom.
  • Speed sets the speed of your throws and your opponent’s.

Settings for the phone#

SettingWhat it does
Continue buttonPuts Continue at the bottom, above the tabs, or at the top, out of the way of your thumb.
Pause for actionsContinue stops at each thing that needs you and says what it is.
Landscape matchesTurns the phone sideways for matches.
Frame rateLimits the match renderer to save battery.
Interface scaleMakes text and panels bigger or smaller.

Your photo#

Use a photo from your phone as your player’s headshot.

Data packs#

On a phone, mods are called data packs. Main menu → Data packs → Import a data pack, then pick the zip. Each pack shows its banner, icon and what it adds, with a switch to turn it on or off. A phone has no mods folder and no Mod Studio: packs are made on a computer. Data packs and mods.

Saves#

Export a career from Load Career to keep a copy or move it to another device. On Android, Save to phone puts the file in a folder you choose. Saves and updates.

Not on phones#

The 3D character creator, the large 3D arenas and walk-ons, Online Co-op, the Mod Studio and Steam features such as achievements and the Workshop are on Windows only.
